Island Chef is for everyone who loves to cook and eat on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.  This blog is a collaborative effort of the most talented chefs, cooks, growers and artisan food producers in the region.  All of our ‘Island Chefs’ have a passion for their trade and for the quality of our regional food.   They are happy to share their personal stories, recipes, shopping lists and cooking tips with you.

They will also answer your questions and participate in on line conversation. Got some quince in your fridge and have no idea what do with it?  Looking to buy some local pork belly?  Wondering how to choose a perfect lemon zester?  Need a recipe?  We can help.  Just type your question into our ‘ask a chef’ icon and we will do our best to find you an answer.

We will also share with you everything we know about kitchen gadgets, regional food producers, food events and restaurants.
